Fort Seward is home to largest flag flown in North Dakota. The flagpole is 120' tall and extends into the ground between 20 and 30 feet. The flag is 60'x30' and weighs approximately 70 pounds. This current flag is made out of nylon and cost $2400. The average lifespan for a flag this size is 60 days, that is why it is taken down if the wind is too strong or storms are predicted.

The flag originally came to the site as part of the Flag Across America project, which has since gone bankrupt.
